Welcome, we're glad you found us!

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bozeman (MT) is an intentionally liberal religious congregation with a long and rich history of social justice driven by our religious, spiritual, moral and ethical beliefs. We value our life together as a community, strive to care for one another, and to support one another in the free and responsible search for truth and meaning in our lives.

Standing on the Side of Love
10am, Sunday, February 12
Rev. Dr. Nina D. Grey

We near the close of the UU Standing on the Side of Love project, Thirty Days of Love, also known as the National Month of Love, and we ask what do the myriad forms of love have to do with justice? In what ways do we and might we stand on the side of love today and in the future? Lay Leader: Karen Mitchell, Music: Edy Harrington, SFAA: Stephanie Kroner

Dialoging with the Living about Dying
10am, Sunday, February 19
Dr. Susan Kreitzberg, ND

Dr. Susan Kreitzberg, ND, is a native of Montana. She is a 1990 graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Portland, Oregon, and has been in private practice in Bozeman for 17 years. Currently, she is part of a committee working to host a day long conference on topics related to death and dying. Inspired by a news report of a man who received a single infusion of a chemotherapy drug to extend his life for perhaps 2 months at a cost of $90,000, she decided to create an opportunity for community dialogue around issues related to death and dying. Why do we fear dying, do we fear death itself, what does it mean to die with dignity, and what are some of the ethical issues surrounding dying. Susan doesn't have all the answers but she asks a lot of questions. Dr. Susan is not a member of UU but she affirms and lives the seven principles.

Music and the Sacred
10am, Sunday, February 26
Eric Funk

Eric Funk is a noted Montana composer, conductor and musician. He has won many awards for his work in the US and abroad, most recently the prestigious Humanities Montana "Heroes" award for 2012. "Eleventh and Grant" is his weekly Montana PBS TV program featuring interviews and performances by regional musicians. Eric Funk's sermon will focus on how the musician doing sacred music is operating from the inside rather than on the music itself. Essentially, he views sacred music as a vehicle that provides possible access to each listener's potential to enter deeply into a spiritual process. Since music has become a commodity in western culture, it's often difficult for people to comprehend or enter in to the power of it. Lay Leader: Rose Toth, Music: Barry Pyle, SFAA: Elizabeth Rose
